在关于法国一项临床研究悲剧的新闻爆出1天后，针对私人研究公司Biotrial发生了什么的更多细节正在浮现。Biotrial位于雷恩市，是一期研究发生的地方。1月15日，供未来试验参与者参考的一份信息清单被张贴在法国地方性新闻网站Breizh-info.com上，其中包括对研究目标和流程的概括，并且提到了参与漫长的药物安全研究将面临着什么。

根据记录，这个特定研究小组的参与者将收到1900欧元，包括差旅费用。作为回报，他们同意在Biotrial位于雷恩的设施内呆上两周，连续10天吞服一种药物，经历昂贵的医学测试，并且提供至少40个血液样本。

与此同时，资助此项试验的葡萄牙制药公司Bial在一份声明中证实，研究中测试的药物是一种酰胺水解酶（FAAH）抑制剂。FAAH是一种能分解大脑中所谓的内源性大麻素的酶，而抑制剂被认为是对抗慢性疼痛的一种可能疗法。

此项研究随即被叫停。雷恩大学医院中心神经学家Gilles Edan介绍说，服用药物的全部6位病人都已入院，其中1人脑死亡，4人出现不同程度的神经学症状，另外1人正处于观察中但未出现症状。MRI成像显示，病人脑部存在“坏死性和出血性深度损伤”。

Biotrial和Bial均未证实Breizh-info.com网站上那份资料的真实性。不过，一些细节表明，它的确是提供给考虑参与此项研究的健康志愿者的信息。列表描述了一项针对BIA 10-2474的研究。这是一种被Bial列入一期试验测试的化合物。其中提到的一些潜在治疗应用同法国卫生部长Marisol Touraine在新闻发布会上提供的信息相符。

该文件的时间点也能对得上。文件显示，从1月4日起，这个特定试验小组的参与者不得不在Biotrial的设施内呆到18日。同时，第一次注射BIA 10-2474是他们呆在Biotrial的第三天。Touraine则提到，药物注射从1月7日开始。Breizh-info.com网站表示，这份文件由申请参与试验但遭到拒绝的人提供。
