Front Integr Neurosci:高压氧能让人变的更聪明吗?

脑功能对缺氧很敏感,当血氧分压降至65mmHg时,人执行多个任务的能力开始下降,当降至55mmHg时短期记忆力开始受损,当降至35mmHg时出现意识障碍。高压氧是否能够提高人脑功能吗?

大脑重量仅占全身的2%,但耗氧量占全身耗氧量的20%,葡萄糖的消耗量占全身的25-30%。应用功能磁共振技术(fMRI)检测脑区的血流和氧供的变化,发现当人同时完成多个任务时,从一个脑区到另一个脑区可见增加的氧供和血流。脑功能对缺氧很敏感,当血氧分压降至65mmHg时,人执行多个任务的能力开始下降,当降至55mmHg时短期记忆力开始受损,当降至35mmHg时出现意识障碍。高压氧是否能够提高人脑功能吗?近日来自以色列的Vadas等在Front Integr Neurosci上发表他们的研究,探讨了在高压氧环境中是否能提高健康人处理复杂和多项任务的能力。

该研究采用前瞻双盲随机交叉研究,募集了22名健康成人,13名受试者被随机分到高压氧组(2.0ATA,吸100%氧气45min),9名被分到对照组(氧舱升高压力不到1分钟,并感受到耳部变化,吸21%氧气),在互相交换分组前有2周的洗脱期。脑功能采用符号数字模式测验(SDMT)和运动评估量表(MAS),两项测试于舱内吸氧30min后开始。

研究结果:与对照组相比,高压氧组的单项认知和运动评分明显升高(p < 0.001),双重任务测试结果也是高压氧组明显好于对照组(认知功能p=0.006,运动功能p=0.02)

作者认为,高压氧环境能够提高健康人脑功能!
