研究者检索了64项前瞻性基于人群的队列研究，累计纳入858507人和28203例冠心病事件。结果显示，糖尿病相关冠心病与非糖尿病相关冠心病的相对风险(RR)在女性为2.82，在男性为2.16。校正多变量后，女性糖尿病患者的冠心病RR比男性糖尿病患者高44%，而且在各项研究之间无显著差异。
