腺瘤是一种罕见的肝脏肿瘤,其中特定的一部分腺瘤会转变为恶性肿瘤,近日来自维也纳医科大学的研究人员利用一种新型的核磁共振技术,在对患者不进行侵入性的组织取样检测的前提下就可以有效对腺瘤进行分类,相关研究刊登于国际杂志Radiology上。

目前腺瘤患者都必须进行组织活检来确定肝细胞性腺瘤是良性还是潜在恶性的,而文章中研究者就开发了一种新型的成像技术,其就可以利用肝脏特异性的核磁共振造影剂来对肝细胞性腺瘤进行分类;肝脏中的腺瘤非常罕见,其会以很多方式发育产生,目前确定有三种腺瘤亚型,即良性、炎性以及癌前病变,另外还有第四种未分类的亚型,第四种类型的腺瘤往往会引发不同的临床表现以及会潜在地恶化。

本文中研究者利用新型的核磁共振成像技术就可以对特殊的腺瘤进行分类,而名为钆塞酸的肝脏特殊造影剂,其可以靶向作用胆汁中的有机阴离子转运多肽,同时也会靶向作用腺瘤细胞及正常肝脏细胞中的耐多药相关的蛋白,随后研究者就会利用磁共振成像将腺瘤表面的转运蛋白的比例同正常肮脏细胞的进行对比,进而对腺瘤进行分类(分级)。

研究者Ahmed Ba-Ssalamah指出,这种新型成像技术可以在不进行侵入性方式取样的前提下来评估患者机体腺瘤的特性,这对于后期理解腺瘤及其它肝脏肿瘤的生物学特性,以及开发新型疗法或技术来有效抑制腺瘤发展提供了新的线索和思路。
