熬夜欠下的睡眠债,你一辈子也还不起

几点不睡就算熬夜呢?这是因人而异的。有的人,一到晚上十一点,就会“全身失去知觉”,而有的人觉得“凌晨一点睡正好”。每个人都有自己的生物钟,但大都不会离开“白天工作晚上休息”这个大规律。

有一位记者问NBA球星科比:“你为什么能如此成功?”科比反问道:“你知道洛杉矶凌晨四点钟是什么样子吗?”以此委婉表达自己付出的努力。要知道,无论习惯早睡早期还是晚睡晚起的人,凌晨四点一般都在睡梦中。

身体是很诚实的,只要没有按照自身的规律来进行休息,第二天都会表现出“罢工”或“疲劳”。下面我们来具体看看熬夜都会使哪些身体部位成为罢工的“宝宝”。

1、增加心血管疾病风险

熬夜对心血管的危害是最显而易见的,而这种危害可以是致命的(科学解读大学生猝死诱因,你中招了吗?)。回想一下你有没有因为一些原因睡晚了,然后第二天脑袋昏沉、心跳过速、精神涣散的时候?这是由于短期睡眠剥夺使交感神经系统紧张,并导致血管收缩异常、血压升高、可的松和肾上腺素等压力激素分泌增加、糖耐量降低、心跳不规则等情况出现。这些都是导致冠心病的先兆。如果长期熬夜,则可能会由于慢性失眠剥夺促进的高血压、肥胖和糖尿病的发展而进一步诱发心脏病。

对于有心血管病史或家族史的人,风险就更大了。据悉,大多数因熬夜猝死的白领患有心脏基础疾病或者脑血管先天畸形,但是往往在尸体解剖后才被发现。也就是说,猝死发生之前并没有表现出明显的心脏不适。因此,不管平时感觉自己夺么地健康,都不应该肆无忌惮地熬夜。

2、引发免疫功能失调

身体免疫功能失调是长期熬夜的一个可怕后果。免疫功能失调表现在肾脏上就会产生肾炎,表现在皮肤上则是红斑狼疮,表现在关节上则是类风湿性关节炎。同时,身体的免疫能力还会降低,使人体处于严重的亚健康状态,感冒等呼吸道疾病、胃肠炎等消化道疾病都会找上门来。

我们体内的时钟是为适应时长各12小时的光-暗循环所设定的。当这一节律被打乱时,免疫系统也一并遭殃。根据一项研究,其原因之一可能是设定生物钟的基因与特定免疫细胞之间有着紧密的关联。

3、对大脑不同区域产生不同影响

熬夜对大脑不同区域的影响不同。一项研究发现,大脑对生物钟的反应大概可以分为两种:“严格听话型”和“不管不问型”。大脑皮层下的区域,包括中脑和丘脑等结构就属于前者——无论睡没睡好,活跃程度都还能与生物钟节律保持一致。而大脑皮层的大部分区域,比如前额皮质等等,它们就不大买生物钟指令的账——只要睡眠需求大了,它们就会自动进入不活跃状态。这就是为什么在熬夜之后,即便是在本该精神的大白天,我们却依然会“迷迷糊糊”的原因。

4、其他危害

熬夜会让你更容易患上癌症。熬夜的时候,细胞代谢异常,人体细胞正常分裂受到影响,从而导致细胞突变,提高患癌风险。以胰腺癌为例,经常熬夜的人发病率要比一般人高出3倍多。因为癌细胞是在细胞分裂过程中产生的,而细胞分裂多在睡眠中进行。

除此之外,熬夜对眼睛也会造成一万点伤害,可不只是出现“熊猫眼”那么简单。长时间超负荷用眼,会使眼睛出现疼痛、干涩等问题,甚至使人患上干眼症。此外,眼肌疲劳还会导致暂时性视力下降。长期熬夜造成的过度劳累还可能诱发中心性视网膜炎,导致视力骤降。

另外,熬夜会通过影响交感神经的兴奋而导致神经衰弱。人的交感神经应该是夜间休息、白天兴奋,这样才能支持人一天的工作,而熬夜者的交感神经却是在夜晚兴奋。熬夜后的第二天白天,交感神经就难以充分兴奋了,会使人没有精神、头昏脑涨、记忆力减退、注意力不集中、反应迟钝、健忘以及头晕、头痛等。时间长了,还会出现神经衰弱、失眠等问题。因此,长期熬夜学习的效果可能并不理想,学生党们在考试前夜就别通过通宵来自己感动自己了。

熬夜的很多危害,好像都是缺乏睡眠造成的,那么白天多睡会能补救回来吗?

一晚上睡不好,白天经过适当的休息,是可以得到恢复的。缺觉引起的日间行为能力、学习记忆能力下降能通过打盹得到改善;不仅如此,缺觉引起的痛阈降低、免疫力降低等问题也能通过日间休息得以良性逆转。对于普通人,睡眠专家们推荐20分钟以内的打盹。为了避免影响夜间睡眠,应尽量避免下午3点以后打盹。

然而,有些人习惯在工作日熬夜,周末狠狠补觉,试图以此弥补丢掉的睡眠,这样的方式并不可取。大脑有两套系统参与睡眠-觉醒过程的调节。第一套是生物钟,其最重要的部件位于下丘脑。生物钟使人体多种生理功能(睡眠-觉醒、激素释放、血压变化、脏器功能等)按照昼夜周期有规律地变化,其功能不受睡多睡少的影响。生物钟虽然可以调整,但每天只能接受1-2小时的变化,这也是跨时区旅行需要倒时差的原因。

当睡眠平衡被打破时,第二套与机体稳态平衡相关的系统就发挥作用了,我们叫它“睡眠债”。睡眠债到底是什么,目前还未有定论。我们可以理解为,它与一类在清醒时释放并可以通过睡眠清除的物质有关。

熬夜累积睡眠债;如果持续缺乏睡眠,那么你欠下的睡眠之债将永无偿还之日。平时熬夜周末补觉的做法,不利于大脑感知正常的睡眠-觉醒节律,容易造成恶性循环;此外,长期累积的睡眠债并非一次睡觉就可以清除。

更重要的是,睡眠质量并不等同于很长一段时间内睡眠时间的总和,长期熬夜导致睡眠紊乱,会使睡眠质量下降,即便补上那些失去的时间,也无法得到充分的休息。如果长期熬夜已经对机体造成了器质性的病变,那更不是通过睡几觉可以挽回的。
