SCIENCE:线粒体功能失调的T细胞会引起过早衰老

最近,研究人员发现,由于线粒体转录因子A(TFAM)缺乏导致线粒体功能障碍的T细胞会成为衰老的加速器

现今,免疫代谢对年龄相关疾病的影响仍不确定。

最近,研究人员发现,由于线粒体转录因子A(TFAM)缺乏导致线粒体功能障碍的T细胞会成为衰老的加速器。在小鼠中,这些细胞诱导多种衰老相关的特征,包括代谢、认知、生理和心血管等方面的改变,共同导致过早死亡。

T细胞代谢衰竭会诱导循环细胞因子的积累,这类似于衰老所特有的慢性炎症("炎症化")。这种细胞因子风暴本身就是衰老的系统性诱导剂。

阻断TNF-α信号转导或用NAD+前体阻止衰老,可以部分挽救Tfam缺陷T细胞的小鼠的过早衰老现象。

因此,T细胞可以调节机体的体质和寿命,强调了严密的免疫代谢调控在衰老和年龄相关疾病的发生中的重要性。
