乌克兰国家科学院的科研人员在medRxiv预印版平台发表论文“Statisticsbased predictions of coronavirus 2019-nCoV spreading in mainland China”,其利用统计学来预测冠状病毒2019-nCoV在中国大陆传播的流行特征。

由于感染的高传播率和大量死亡人数,冠状病毒2019-nCoV引起的流行病爆发引起了研究的极大兴趣,尚未对该现象进行详细的科学分析,但公众已经对该流行病的持续时间、预期的患者人数和死亡等问题感兴趣。对于长时间的预测,需要复杂的数学模型,这些模型需要付出很多努力才能进行未知参数的识别和计算,在该文章中,作者提供了一些初步估算。该文章的研究目的:由于可靠的长期数据仅适用于中国大陆,因此科研人员仅预测该地区的流行特征。科研人员估算一些流行病的特征,并给出受害人数、受感染者和移居者与时间之间最可靠的依赖关系。文章中所用方法:在这项研究中,科研人员将已知的SIR模型用于流行病的动力学,线性方程式的已知精确解和用于儿童疾病调查的先前开发的统计方法,这种方法在1988-1989年在切尔诺夫策(乌克兰)用到过。得到结果如下:利用统计方法确定了SIR模型参数的最佳值,可以预测感染、易感和迁离者的数量与时间的关系。最后科研人员得出结论:使用简单的数学模型可以预测中国大陆冠状病毒2019-nCoV引起的流行特征,进一步的研究应集中在使用最新数据和更复杂的数学模型来更新预测上。a
