2015年6月5日上午，在耳鼻咽喉头颈外科学界发生了两起令人发指的恶性医暴事件，一是福建省立医院李瑞玉主任在出诊时遭一名男性暴徒砍伤，导致手臂肌腱断裂，全身多处刀砍伤。虽经抢救生命转危为安，但因手伤伤势严重，极可能失去手术能力;二是陕西省榆林市第二医院刘峰主任在出诊时，因制止患者插队就诊，被另一暴徒挥拳将左眼球打破裂，现虽至北京求治，但仍无光感，很可能遭遇失明的厄运。除此之外，至6

中国医师协会于2015年5月发布的《中国医师执业状况白皮书》中调查显示，近年来伤医事件逐年增高。虽然公安部同卫生部为此专门制定下发了《关于维护医疗机构秩序的通告》，但收效甚微。医院秩序受到严重危害，医务人员人人自危，惶惶不可终日，医院及医生维护患者就医的基本氛围受到了严重破坏，绝大部分患者的基本就医权力在暴力的冲击下同样受到严重伤害。

中国医师协会耳鼻咽喉科医师分会对凶手伤害无辜医生的残暴行为提出严重抗议，要求公安机关一定要严惩凶手，维护安全的就医环境!强烈呼吁政府有关部门切实采取有效措施，展国法之威严，伸捍卫法制之正气，绝不向邪恶势力屈服，对伤医暴力事件零容忍，严惩肇事凶手!还社会的和谐与稳定!
