Sci Adv:突破!科学家利用先进贴片来“修补”受损心脏

日前,一项刊登在国际杂志Science Advances上的研究报告中,来自新南威尔士大学的研究人员在心脏病发作研究领域取得了重大突破,他们开发出了一种多聚体贴片(polymer patch),其能够明显改善沿着受损心脏组织的电脉冲传导状况。这种可变贴片结构如今已经在动物模型中很好地使用了,其持久性较好,而且在并不需要缝纫线的情况下能够牢牢黏在心脏上。研究者Sian Harding教授说道,心脏病

日前,一项刊登在国际杂志Science Advances上的研究报告中,来自新南威尔士大学的研究人员在心脏病发作研究领域取得了重大突破,他们开发出了一种多聚体贴片(polymer patch),其能够明显改善沿着受损心脏组织的电脉冲传导状况。这种可变贴片结构如今已经在动物模型中很好地使用了,其持久性较好,而且在并不需要缝纫线的情况下能够牢牢黏在心脏上。

研究者Sian Harding教授说道,心脏病发作通常能够产生疤痕,这些疤痕组织能够减缓并且干扰沿着心脏表面的电脉冲传导过程,这就会引发心脏节律潜在的致死性干扰;研究者开发的这种导电的多聚体贴片就能够很好地解决这个问题。这种新型贴片由三种组分组成:壳聚糖层、聚苯胺成分以及植酸组分。当处于干燥状况下导电聚合物就能够发挥作用,但当将其置于体液中时其就会在较短时间内变成非导电的状态。

本文研究中研究者开发的非缝线的贴片就表现出了巨大的优势,其非常稳定,而且能够在生理状态下超过两周持续保持导电性状态,而其它导电多聚物通常仅为一天。当在绿光照射下,这种新型贴片能够吸附到心脏组织上,研究者将其植入到大鼠体内进行了相关研究,结果表明其能够明显改善大鼠体内心脏疤痕组织的电脉冲传导过程。

最终,心脏病发作患者在健康和疤痕组织之间就会出现一种斑块样的“桥梁”结构,从而来抑制心律不整的发生,然而研究者开发的这种新型贴片目前仅处于初级阶段,后期研究者还将对其进行改良。最终研究者Molly Stevens教授表示,新开发的这种贴片能够帮助我们很好地理解导电材料如何同心脏组织相互作用来影响心脏的电传导,同时也能够帮助理解和心脏病发病相关的生理学改变。
