本研究为一起案例报告，报告一例之前从未报道的案例：宫颈鳞状细胞癌相关重症急性肾损伤的继发性视网膜病变。

一名31岁的女性患者急性腹痛、呕吐和重症肾衰症状持续一周后，突发双侧视力损害。眼科检查显示双侧视网膜增厚变白伴有视神经盘旁视网膜内出血，体征与Purscher样视网膜病变诊断结果一致。进一步的全身系统性检查发现该患者还存在继发于未确诊的宫颈癌的双侧肾盂积水。该患者接受了短期高剂量激素治疗。2个月后，患者的视网膜水肿与出血缓解，但视力仍然不佳。

本案例是报告的第一例继发于宫颈癌相关性急性重症肾衰的Purscher样视网膜病变，增加了一种Purscher样或Purscher性视网膜病变的病因解释。

对于该患者毫无预兆的重症尿毒症，作者猜想，尿毒症的突然恶化导致了内皮素分泌的增加（一种血管紧张素），从而引起下游的内皮素诱导的血管病变，继而导致前毛细血管小动脉网的闭塞。
